The Role

This is a full-time role that reports directly to the CSO. As a Senior Data Scientist/Bioinformatician, you will lead the statistical and machine learning analysis of our accumulating data sets relating to male fertility, sperm DNA methylation and embryo quality. You will actively drive forward the identification of new biomarkers and optimization of existing biomarkers associated with fertility outcomes. You will support efforts to publish new scientific literature and contribute to grant writing related to data analysis. You will be responsible for the data architecture and pipelines, utilizing platforms such as AWS. We are an early stage company, so you will be asked to support operations and logistics when needed. This role permits a flexible schedule but does require to have a primary residence in Spokane County, Washington. You will be in regular communication with all Path team members, as well as customers and our research collaborators including clinic and lab staff, physicians, and clinical trial personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Become the expert of the data associated with our current biomarkers
• Conduct weekly analysis for our commercial data and reporting
• Automate bioinformatic analysis and QC pipelines
• Utilize machine learning techniques for analyzing existing datasets to discover novel biomarkers

• Experience in microarray and next generation sequencing analysis
• Experience in machine learning and AI techniques
• Experience or interest in the biotechnology and/or fertility industry
