Talent4Health is seeking a travel nurse RN ICU - Intensive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Yuma, Arizona.

Submission Profile Requirements

• Start Date : Must be 6/2 and clearly listed on resume/profile.

• EPIC Experience : Required. Must be consistent across resume and cover page.

  EMR must be listed for each work assignment.

• Time Off (RTO) : Must be 5 days or less and logically align with the 6/2 start.

  All RTO must be listed in the attached profile/resume at submission.

• Resume Accuracy :
  • Must include detailed job duties , hospital size , unit size , and trauma level (if applicable) for each listed facility.
  • Explain all employment gaps within the attached resume.
• Certifications : Must be current and accurate .
• License : Must have an active AZ or Compact license in hand and accurately listed.

Patient Ratios & Unit Info

• Nurse-Patient Ratios :
  • 1:1 or 1:2 for MedSurg ICU
  • 1:3 if no vents or drips
• # of Beds : 42
• Required Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Common Diagnoses/Patients :
  • Cardiac (open heart, balloon pumps, impella)
  • Post tPA, small head bleeds
  • Sepsis, sedation, pressors, DKA, CHF, respiratory failure
  • Vent management experience required
• Trauma : Level 3 – no trauma experience necessary (core staff handles trauma cases)

Drip Experience Requirements

Traveler must have well-rounded ICU drip experience.

• Vasopressors : Epinephrine, Levophed, Phenylephrine, Vasopressin
• Inotropes : Dopamine, Dobutamine, Primacor
• Antiarrhythmics : Amiodarone, Cardizem, Esmolol, Lidocaine, Procainamide
• Antihypertensives : Clevidipine, Labetalol, Cardene, Nipride, Nitro
• Beta Adrenergic : Isuprel
• Sedatives : Ketamine, Precedex, Propofol, Versed
• Paralytics : Vecuronium, Nimbex, Rocuronium
• Analgesics : Fentanyl, Morphine
• Anticoagulants : Aggrastat, tPA, Argatroban, Heparin, Integrilin
• Other : Insulin

Support & Staffing

• Charge Nurse : Yes, charge nurse is free of assignment and assists with codes/RRTs
• Patient Care Aides/Techs :
  • PCAs typically in a 1:10 ratio
  • Assist with EKGs, blood sugars, procedures, ADLs, I/Os, lab draws
• Hospitalist/Intensivist Coverage : 24/7
  • Days : 2 MDs + 1 NP
  • Nights : 1 MD + 1 NP
• RT Coverage : 24/7 in ICU
  • RT handles vent settings, intubations, ABGs
  • Equipment includes: Vents, CPAP, BiPAP, High Flow
  • RT + RN assist with bedside trachs
• Monitor Techs : Yes
  • Unit Support Role (USR) acts as unit clerk + monitor tech
  • Central and in-room telemetry monitors

Scheduling & Shifts

• Shift Times : 6:45 – 7:15 (3-minute grace period before/after)
  • Must clock out for lunch
• Scheduling Notes :
  • Self-scheduling
  • Up to 4 requested days off per 4-week schedule
  • Block scheduling not guaranteed but requests are accommodated when possible
• Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4-week period
• Holiday Requirement : 2 major holidays (not including the eve, if Christmas)
• Call/Standby : None
• Floating : Yes, to other units; patient load capped at 4 when floating
