Quality Control Manager
\n Location: Norwood, MA (Relocating to Walpole, MA in 2026)
\n Full-Time | 10-Hour Shifts | Weekends as Needed
\n Salary: $70,000 – $100,000+ (Commensurate with Experience)
Join a global leader in electro-mechanical and cable assembly manufacturing! Established in 1988 and certified under ISO 9001 and ISO 13485, we are seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS) across our facilities in Norwood, MA and Tecate, Mexico.
\n\n \n Key Responsibilities \n\n Quality System Management \n\nDevelop, implement, and oversee continuous improvement initiatives in line with QMS effectiveness.
\n\t\n\tEnsure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards and all applicable legal/regulatory requirements.
\n\t\n\tCoordinate internal and external audits , ensuring timely execution and compliance.
\n\t\n\tAnalyze and report on quality metrics and trends ; monitor QMS performance and identify areas for improvement.
\n\t\n\tOversee monitoring, measurement, and testing functions and supplier performance.
\n\t\n\tManage and update the approved supplier list in coordination with the Purchasing Manager.
\n\t\n\tFacilitate QMS and cross-functional meetings to promote quality objectives and best practices.
\n\t\n\tReview and approve ECOs (Engineering Change Orders) and Assembly Instructions prior to production.
\n\t\n\tOversee the review of RMAs (Return Material Authorizations) and support root cause analysis.
\n\t\nProvide ongoing training on quality standards and procedures to staff at all levels.
\n\t\n\tCollaborate with executive leadership to define and meet quality goals .
\n\t\n\tLead internal auditor training and manage the internal audit schedule.
\n\t\n\tPromote and support a 5S workplace environment and culture of continuous improvement.
\n\t\nSupervise the Quality Control team and manage daily inspection tasks:
\n\n\tInspect incoming materials and vendor deliveries.
\n\t\t\n\t\tPerform First Article Inspections and coordinate feedback with production teams.
\n\t\t\n\t\tInspect finished goods and verify rework outcomes.
\n\t\t\n\t\tMaintain inspection documentation and logs.
\n\t\t\n\tFull-time (40+ hours/week), Monday to Friday , with occasional Saturday shifts .
\n\t\n\tFlexibility in hours required to support production activities.
\n\t\n\tCasual, team-oriented work environment.

\n\t\n\tMinimum 5 years in quality management in high-volume, process-oriented manufacturing
\n\t\n\tAt least 3 years of staff management and coaching experience
\n\t\n\tStrong understanding of ISO 9001 and 13485 requirements
\n\t\n\tHands-on experience with:
\n\n\tRoot cause analysis and CAPA processes
\n\t\t\n\t\tRegulatory compliance (e.g., medical device reporting, product risk assessments)
\n\t\t\n\t\tInternal/external audits and complaint handling
\n\t\t\n\tExcellent organizational, time management, and interpersonal skills
\n\t\n\tAbility to travel as needed (domestically and to Mexico)
\n\t\n\tWire & cable industry experience is a plus
\n\t\n\tLean or Six Sigma certification is preferred
\n\t\nLocation: Norwood, MA (Relocating to Walpole, MA next year)
\n\t\n\tSchedule: 10-hour shifts, occasional weekends
\n\t\n\tRelocation: Candidates must reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting
